Cluster II – Zamboanga del Norte: Overall Champions of the 32nd TESDA Anniversary Friendship Games 2026 Region IX

At the 32nd TESDA Anniversary Friendship Games 2026 Closing and Awarding Program, Zamboanga del Norte, the Hornets emerged as Overall Champion with 84 points during the Closing and Awarding Program held at the ZSPI Midcamp.
The program opened with the recognition of the officials, referees, marshals, and support personnel who contributed to the successful conduct of the event. Engr. Alan T. Bacatan, CESE, Regional Director of TESDA IX, emphasized that the Friendship Games go beyond sports competitions. He said the activities strengthen camaraderie, teamwork, health, wellness, and unity among TESDA employees.
Engr. Bacatan also thanked the ZSPI family, headed by Acting VSA III Engr. Hermil B. Contrivida, who served as the host institution, provided support and warm hospitality throughout the event.
Five clusters received medals and trophies for their incredible athleticism and unwavering team spirit as they engaged in challenging games. Cluster III—Zamboanga Sibugay, The Builders, secured 1st runner-up with 70 points, while Cluster V—Regional Office, Flamingos, placed 2nd runner-up. Cluster I—Zamboanga del Sur, White Buffalo, placed 3rd runner-up, and Cluster IV—Zamboanga City, Red Phoenix, finished 4th runner-up. 
Beyond the medals and trophies, the Friendship Games reminded everyone that true victory is not only about winning but also about building teamwork, friendships, and unity through shared experiences.
