THE SCHOOL
Nestled in a 12.34 hectare area of arboreal silence away from the hustle and bustle of the town traffic, Kabasalan Institute of Technology (KIT) formerly Kabasalan National Vocational School (KNVS) is a a conducive place for study. From the national highway, which is eighty meters away following F.L. Peña Road, one is ushered to the main gate.
Kabasalan Institute of Technology started as Kabasalan Junior High School when it was established by a municipal resolution passed in 1947 through the late mayor, Gregorio Cainglet Sr.
On September 23, 1963 by virtue of R.A. 3438 sponsored Congressman Canuto Enerio, the Kabasalan Junior High School was converted into what is known as Kabasalan National Vocational School.
At present, KIT is one of the two schools in Region IX administered by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
