Mr. Medard Barrios of the Green Team Air temple and Miss. Shendy Lou J. Vale of the Red team Fire nation were proclaimed Mr. and Miss KIT 2018 respectively . The search for Mr. & Miss KIT 2018 was one of the highlights in the 70th Founding Anniversary and 55th Anniversary as Tech -Voc-Institution of Kabasalan Institute of Technology.
The annual Search for Mr. and Miss KIT was the most awaited event by the KIT students and supporters. There were four boys and girls who vied for the most coveted title namely; Water Tribe: Ms. Alaine Yves L.Peduca & Mr. Mc Oniel A . Domdom , Fire Nation : Ms. Shendylou Vale & Mr. Alfritz L.Baguioro Air Temple : Ms.Jecil K. Perocho, &Mr. Medard F. Barrios , Earth Kingdom : Ms. Princes Angel Chico & Mr. Heal’s Faith Junen S. Jarcia.
Mr. KIT 2018, Medard Barrios besides winning the major title also received minor awards like Best in Production Number, Best in Elements Attire, Best in Barong Tagalog and Mr. Witty.
Likewise, Miss KIT 2018 Shendy Lou Vale also received four minor awards. She won Best in Talent, Miss. Witty, Best in Technology Attire, and Best in Production Number. She also won Miss Body Beautiful as special award. The Master of Ceremonies was Mr.Edwin Baylon and the judges of the pageant were Mr. Elmer Y. Abulon , Ms, Gladys Tiongco, Ms. Marie Raneth E.Estańero , Ms. Zaiton Sumpo , and Ms.Karen T. Pangasian. . Everyone was excited when the pageant commenced at 1:00 pm. The search showed that beauty and skills can go together perfectly.
The competition was spearheaded by the Student Supreme Council (SSC). It was an opportunity for the candidates to showcase their talents, communication, skills and self- esteem. The competition aimed to provide the candidates the opportunity to develop self-confidence and his/her personality. The activity was supported and attended by the school employees both teaching and non-teaching personnel.
