Teachers and staff join clean-up drive
The KIT teaching and non-teaching personnel join t clean-up drive at Sta.Cruz on September 29, 2018. The program helps mitigate flood and the spread of pest in the community.
The KIT personnel participated the ‘’Barangay Clean-Up Drive’’, an activity that culminated the month long Civil Service celebration on September 29, 2018.
The clean-up drive commenced at 9 in the morning. The KIT personnel led by their school administrator Greta D.Sabroso, Ed.D conducted cleaning in Duncaan , Cainglet , Zamboanga Sibugay.
They brought along with them cleaning tools like spade, rake, bolos, sacks, and brooms. They enjoyed cleaning by removing weeds that clog, the canals which can be possible breeding place of mosquitoes that cause dengue, Several sacks were filled with collected garbage mostly plastics. The Barangay Clean -Up Drive helped reduce flood and control the spread of pets in the area.
The outreach program was participated by all government employees in the different agencies namely; LGU of Kabasalan, KIT, DEPED, DOH, BJMP, PNP and Business Sectors. The activity emphasized on waste segregation and proper disposal. It is one of the measures of saving the land from pollution. Likewise, the residents of the barangays were urged to develop a sense of urgency in keeping the area trash- free and empowered communities to clean-up, fix up and conserve their environment.
