KIT and DSWD forge partnership

VSAIII Greta D. Sabroso ,Ed.D signed the MOA between KIT and DSWD in the presence of the DSWD personnel Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay and Mr.Renerio Pardillo Head of Instructionf for CORE Competencies.

                The Kabasalan Institute of Technology (KIT) has forged a Memorandum of Agreement with the DSWD of Siay , Zamboanga Sibugay thru Mrs. Tazmahal S.Sarabi the community facilitator and project Development Officer II on August 24, 2017. The purpose of the MOA was to provide the frame work for a partnership arrangement between DSWD -FO IX and Kabasalan Institute of Technology to implement the skills training to the beneficiary of Modified Conditional Cash Transfer Program -Support Service Intervention.
           It provides the identified poor and vulnerable families and individuals the appropriate income generating opportunities to help improve their level of economic sufficiency. This also facilitate inventions that shall aligned livelihood asset to the participants and to have a gainful employment as micro entrepreneurs.
              The training Programs is under the Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA). Its objective is to reduce poverty and vulnerability in conflict - affected areas through sustainable rural development, community infrastructure and focused on delivery of social services. The beneficiaries of the skills training are 78 unemployed IP’s women,   most of them are subanen from the far flung areas.   The IP’s women were trained in Bread Pastry Production (BPP NCII) the qualification they chose to enroll .The training started on September 17, 2017 with 25 trainees per batch. Mrs. Aileen Dacula was the trainer of the said training. The beneficiaries were trained on cake making, bread making and cake icing.    Likewise, before the trainees are declared graduates they shall take first the National Competency Assessment as required in the program. The assessment is a proof of trainee’s competence and job readiness. The beneficiaries will also be given Certificate of Training by the school as the training provider. The trainings were conducted in the school. Moreover, the trainees’ attendance is closely monitored by Mrs. Luciana Penaranda , the Community facilitator Assistant
