Jobs fair held
Job hunting is undeniably a challenging experience, although technology and social media provide many tools to connect applicants to potential employers, a call for an appointment is not always guaranteed.  To look into this issue, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) with the coordination of the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and LGU, Kabasalan   conducted Jobs Fair on February 12, 2018 at the Kabasalan gymnasium. The event allowed job seekers to explore from various job opportunities. More or less 500 agencies or companies here and abroad joined and offered job opportunities to the growing Filipino workforce.


Moreover, Marietta Bellotendos, POEA Regional Head clearly discussed to the jobseekers the Anti-Illegal Recruitment Campaign. Bellotendos warned the jobseekers here and abroad to be vigilant, in order to avoid problems and fake recruitment.
The program was attended mostly by the senior high schools students of Kabasalan National High School, (KNHS) Kabasalan Science and Technology High School, (KSTHS) Francisco Ramos National High School, (FRNHS) and with the support of their school heads and the job seekers in the community.
Likewise, the TVET trainees of the Kabasalan Institute of Technology (KIT) from the different levels of qualifications showcased their skills and talents learned during their stay in school, which aims to promote technical vocational education and training programs, and to provide for additional means of livelihood to every individuals.
The categories include Cake icing trainer: Ms.Aileen Dacula, wine mixing: trainer Miss Fe Carpio: Makeup bed: trainer Ms. Aileen Cordova, Garments: trainer Ms.Malare Cotejo , FBS:
trainer: Ms. May Comedido, Electrical wiring :trainer Mr.Philip Trayvilla , Flair tending :trainer Ms.Fe Carpio ,  SMAW :trainer Mr.Danilo Tayag and AS : trainer Mr.Arnulfo Aure . The event is part of the 81st celebration of the Araw ng Kabasalan. The program was graced by DOLE, Provincial Head, Imelda F. Gatinao.
The of  Head of Instructions for Core Competencies, Renerio P. Pardillo also attended  program, along with the KIT Core trainers to witness the performance of the trainees in their own trade of specialization.  .
  One of the recruitment agency staff gave positive reaction to the skills exposition.  She appreciated by saying, this the skills that employers’ would preferably hire.  The versatility of the student’s skills would lead them to land good job here and abroad.
