An Extinguishment
A destructive fire can engulf a wide area within moments, leaving devastating effects when incidents occur. Such unfortunate outcomes highlight the importance of promoting proper training and awareness to prevent and manage fire-related hazards. Recognizing this necessity, Zamboanga Sibugay Polytechnic Institute demonstrated its commitment to safety by hosting a proactive fire prevention program on February 11, 2026. Through this initiative, the institution aims to strengthen preparedness, promote responsible practices, and enhance the community’s understanding of fire safety measures.
It is to prevent any possibilities. To extinguish any anguish. A leverage against an unforgiving enemy. As Mr. Romee A. Tamsi Tamsi had said, "Fire protection makes a difference between panic and preparedness, between confusion and attentiveness.". Dubious flames of terrifying nature is always a heart-stopping hazard. As fate and accidents work in unsuspecting turn of events, the only saving grace is to be prepared.
"Stay Focus, Follow Instructions. And remember, Safety is everyone's Responsibility.", Sir Tamsi had added. And with the help of the Kabasalan Municipal Fire Station, led by the Municipal Fire Marshal, Police Sr. Inspector Sir Robert S. Suyom, the professional team of the Bureau of Fire Protection went through various considerable lectures about the Extinguishment Theory, the Classes of Fire, an Orientation on Fire Exit Drill, Drill Proper Procedure by Sir Bael, Equipments for Firefighting scenes by Sir Libo and Sir Saldivar, the way of TPASS, the concept of SAFE, and the importance of EDITH by Sir Pinar. And although the lectures are interesting and informative, students clamored the most during the public demonstration of dousing the fire using the Blanket Alternative and the proper handling of a Fire Extinguisher. Finally, the morning in its entirety, had offered a great opportunity to dive seriously into the heart of an inferno.
