A Night Educators Didn't Teach, But Seen
Educators, for once, are not at the front of the classroom.
February 9, 2026, transforms the Kabasalan Gymnasium into something between a red carpet. Seven clusters of teachers; KNHS, KSTHS, FRNHS, Palinta NHS, Simbol NHS, ZSPI, and ZPPSU-wait in the entryway. Not for a competition and a seminar, but an educator's grand entrance.
Virginia D. Cabrera, EAD PSDS, delivers the welcome address with the warmth of someone who has spent decades in this profession and still bohhelieves in it. Mayor Katrina C. Balladares steps forward. "Education is one of my golden priorities under my administration," she said. Giving them not just motivation, but validation. Additionally, Ma. Colleen L. Emoricha, EAD, CESO V ASDS, took the stage next. Then Oliver B. Talaoc, EHD SGOD Chief. Each speaker brought different titles, different roles, but the same respect for all teachers.
Mr. Dave Jumawan closed the intermissions with another song. His voice reminded everyone that educators possess talents.
Educators' Night is a recognition event where teachers are seen and heard, for once, not as functionaries of the education, but as individuals who chose this work and continue choosing it. As they return to their classroom, they may deal with incomplete requirements and the particular exhaustion of shaping young humans. But they will carry something from that night- not just a simple program, but the memory of an evening when the lights were on them, and they were enough.
